Graduates

Here you will find some of the past students who have studied with the Glasgow School of Shiatsu over the years and who still incorporate Shiatsu into their work.

The Shiatsu training is so wide ranging that it interweaves into so many other disciplines as you will see from what the many students who have came through the School are currently practicing.

If you studied with the Glasgow School and would like to be included here then please get in touch with Elaine.

Glasgow School of Shiatsu is the best school out there which offers first class teachings. Training is done in a safe, nuturing & supportive environment to bring out the best of your potential.
Elaine Leichti and associate teachers of GSS are warm, welcoming and excellent teachers as well as practitioners of Shiatsu. Shiatsu is an excellent modality to become a hands on practitioner, or a self development tool. I really enjoyed my training there.

Testimonial from Heather graduate of Shiatsu School

I so enjoyed my three year training with The Glasgow School of Shiatsu. I loved every bit of it but mostly valued the care and attention and very high standard it was taught with.

I can not recommend highly enough.

Thank you.

I would highly recommend Glasgow Shiatsu School. As a seasonal yoga teacher it has deepened my knowledge and experience of the five elements and associated meridian lines. Elaine and Laura offer a supportive, knowledgeable and inspiring environment in which to learn.

Elaine and Laura are hugely inspiring! I loved every minute of my time learning from them, and continue to use the skills they taught me in my own business as a therapist, and in my day to day life.

I began the Glasgow School of Shiatsu course without fully understanding what Shiatsu was- as something to do for fun whilst raising children. I planned on doing the Introductory Course only, but I was hooked from the first class and have never looked back. Shiatsu is interwoven into the fabric of my life and I can’t remember life without it!

Since completing the course in 2019, aside from practicing Shiatsu, I have made it my mission to share Shiatsu with others, running community workshops and a fun project for children and their adults called Zen Kids! It is my belief that we should all have access to such practices from as young an age as possible.

I am enjoying still being part of the school, as a Teaching Assistant, assisting Laura and Elaine with The Coral group’s Shiatsu journey which is an absolute joy and honour!

My 3 years at the Glasgow School of Shiatsu was truly amazing! Elaine is probably the most experienced Shiatsu teacher and practitioner in Scotland and I feel privileged to have studied under her guidance. The depth of study is only one great aspect to the course. You are guided through the practical and theoretical at a pace that makes sure the knowledge becomes second nature. So you don’t just know it in your head but your whole being, you live it. Although a great self development and fun, the main aspect of the training is achieving the ability to help heal others which is a gift in itself. The knowledge and experience gained here prepped me well for becoming a Seasonal Yoga Teacher.

Margo - past student of the Glasgow School of Shiatsu

I am so happy to still be part of the Shiatsu School. I have been attending the Shiatsu clinics on a regular basis since completing the course myself many years ago. It is always a pleasure to receive a treatment and today’s treatment was no exception. I feel refreshed, positive and ready to enjoy the day ahead. Thank you very much to Elaine. I am so happy to be still part of the School.
